The International Chopin Piano Competition in ASIA aims to spread the beauty of and love towards Chopin’s music in Japan and in other parts of Asia. We hope to discover young promising pianists in Asia and also to encourage them to further develop themselves, and also to provide them with opportunities to interact with each other through music. This competition has been held annually since 1999, and this year marks its 21st edition. It consists of various categories: Solo & Concerto & "Chopinist" (formerly known as Amateur Category) all for different age groups and levels. This year we also hold the Delegate Competition, and the top three prize winners of this competition will be automatically entitled to perform at the preliminary round of the Chopin Competition in Warsaw (April, 2020).
